The Urdu TV series “Dhanak” had its first premiere in 2021 on the TV channel PTV Home. Staring the main protagonist Dhanak, who is visually impaired but has long-lasting dreams, and Jamal, who is a music producer in the series. The character of Dhanak is played by Hiba Bhukari, and Jamal is played by Noman Ejaz. Abdulla Kadwani and Azad Querishi are the leading producers of the series ‘Dhanak’. The show focuses on the themes of passion, love, and family. The first episode starts with the death of Dhanak’s mother, which then leaves Dhanak to live only with her father and her brother. Dhanak’s musical dream is blocked by her father, who wants her to get married soon.

Yet Dhanak does not see this obstacle and moves forward to be a singer. She then meets Jamal, who helps her achieve her aspirations and is seen as a father figure to Dhanak. After a few days, Jamal’s wife starts to grow suspicious of their relationship, and the situation gets even worse as Dhanak’s father sets up her marriage with a businessman who is wealthy enough.
