Dastak Aur Darwaza is a Pakistani serial premiered in 1995 on PTV Home. It is an Urdu-language love drama that is deeply rooted in the philosophy of love and respect. The storyline focuses on the life of lovers that turned strangers and moved on with their life. The story begins with two friends, Saima and Rabia discussing yesterday's shocking news. Rabia’s boyfriend Mehboob was on the verge of dying because of a drug overdose. Rabia learnt about the incident through his friends. Mehboob was highly influenced due to excessive consumption of sleeping pills. He blurted out things about Rabia as he loved her from his heart. Rabia learned about the things Mehboob blurted out and was offended by his careless behavior. She asked her professor to make Mehboob understand the sensitivity of love and how one should be responsible for expressing it publicly. Mehboob met the professor but couldn’t understand his fault and left the room. Later, Meboob skipped lunch and was unhappy that Rabia couldn’t understand him and refused to talk to him.

Rabia decided to get married to Taimoor, who was a businessman and her good friend. Taimoor had called his wife Raza to confirm the amicable divorce; however, Raza didn’t say anything in favor of the divorce.
