The drama series features an interconnected story about people’s life choices, and their constant effort to acquire more wealth, by being pretentious and forgetting their roots. The ‘modern era’ is much more concerned about wealth, money, and power than a simple lifestyle. The story revolves around the life of a young, married, vibrant and loving woman Maira. She is married to Nabeel and loves him relentlessly. The childless couple are not on the same page regarding love, as Nabeel is cheating on Maira with a co-worker, Sumbal. Nabeel is an opportunist, and so is Sumbal.

This is not her first affair, but one of the many affairs she’s had with her seniors to get promoted and get more money. Blind in love Maira is heart-broken when she finds hints of her husband having an affair. So, she hires a private investigator to keep an eye on Sumbul and Nabeel to get her husband back. Cruel-hearted Sumbal soon writes a resignation letter putting allegation of sexual harassment on Nabeel to take more advantage of the situation, and receive more monetary benefits. Nabeel does not want to go back to his old lifestyle. Maira is brave enough to deal with challenging circumstances of life. Another interconnected story revolves around Dania, who belongs to a middle-class family. Dania isn’t interested in the domestic lifestyle and aspires to be a model someday. Her dream to have fame and a glamorous life are crushed when she’s engaged to Naeem, a lower-level clerk in a government office.

Dania loathes him for his mediocrity while Naeem loves her with his whole heart, and wants to marry her. The story takes a huge twist when Dania starts having an affair with her next-door neighborhood Baber, a worker at a clothe shop. Even though he too is engaged to his older cousin Sobia, he too falls in love with Dania and wished to be her life partner. Soon, Dania realizes that playing with the emotions of two people is not moral. And yet, she constantly deceives those who love her including her mother by telling her that she is going to Sobia’s place but instead goes on date with Baber. Qazi Sheab, Dania’s father who has been working in a government office for a long time is once called for an official inquiry, which causes him a heart attack. Meanwhile, Nabeel is still searching for Sambul and wants to know why she left him and put allegations of sexual harassment.
