The story starts with Anwar Sahib who lives with his young daughter, Hina. Anwar and Hina share a great relationship. Hina is an obedient and decent girl. They are rich in status. Anwar Sahib works with his boss, Ahmer. Ahmer is younger than him. He is a successful businessman. He is a widower and lives with his daughter. His daughter is just eight years old. Ahmer and Anwar are satisfied with their lives.

Since Anwar is of Ahmer’s father's age, Ahmer considers him like a father. Ahmer treats Anwar with respect and has a soft corner for him. Hina has turned into a marriageable age. Anwar’s friend Akhlaq brings the proposal of his son for Hina. Since Anwar and Akhlaq were good friends, Anwar did not think twice and accepted the proposal. He was quite happy with this plan. He had already started preparing for their wedding. Before the marriage, Anwar finds out that Akhlaq does not have good intentions for Hina. Akhlaq wants his son to marry Hina so that he can acquire Anwar’s wealth. Anwar is upset and feels betrayed. He breaks off the marriage and his friendship with Akhlaq.

Anwar now worries about Hina’s marriage. He wants his daughter to get married in a good house and to a decent man. Anwar suffers a massive heart attack that makes him bedridden. Doctors say that he has a few days to live. Even on his deathbed, Anwar is concerned about his daughter. When Ahmer visits Anwar, he requests Ahmer to take care of Hina after he dies. Ahmer loves Anwar like his father. To honor him, Ahmer decides to fulfill the promise. Ahmer marries Hina to keep the promise. This drama unfolds the love story of Hina and Ahmer and how Ahmer’s daughter accepts Hina into their family. The series was an instant hit among Pakistanis. The show has won awards like Best Soap Actor, Best Soap Actress, and Best Soap Series.
