Trishulam is a Telugu language TV serial that aired on the channel Zee Telugu. This soap opera is an amalgam of many emotions, characters, lives, and stories. The serial opens with an infant in front of a Trishulam, the weapon of Lord Shiva. A few people dressed in ghost costumes toss the baby around while his mother begs them to stop. Turns out, it was a dream. The mother, Eeshwari Devi, had to give up her baby and is doing all kinds of pujas, yagnas, and offering with the help of a sage in order to get her baby back.

Elsewhere, the founder of Sanjay Group of Industries, Sanjay, is being praised on television for his intellect, business mind, and success. His mother is very proud of him and pushes him to work hard every day of his life, and he does. He is proud of his manager, Madhu, and his PA (Personal Assistant), Kaveri. The phrase ‘no one is perfect’ can be applied here. Though Sanjay might be a good business person, a good son, and a good boss, he sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him and, most of the time, lashes out at his PA. Sanjay has a business nemesis, Ashok, who is jealous of Sanjay’s success. Jaya, a woman who works in Sanjay’s office, is approached by Ashok, and he incentivises her to bring him a few drops of Sanjay’s blood. She does so when she finds Sanjay in an accident.

It is revealed that Sanjay is the son of Eeshwari Devi, and his adoptive mother is Eeshwari’s younger sister. Sanjay and Kaveri get married after he says that he likes her. Kaveri’s sister, Shalini, had to get married to a man named Ranjith against her will. Turns out, Ranjith is Ashok’s younger brother, and he was the one who coerced Ranjith to marry her. The thought of being in the same family as Ashok disgusts Sanjay. Ranjith tries to woo Shalini, but she makes it hard for him to go according to his brother’s plan by disrespecting him every step of the way. However, he manages to win her over with his words. Sanjay has a mental condition where he loses himself for a few minutes when triggered. He has no control over what he does. He keeps visiting a doctor but with no luck.

The doctor finds difficulty in diagnosing his condition. On their wedding night, Sanjay accuses Kaveri of adding poison to the milk and hits her. She keeps this to herself, and Sanjay is crushed for doing that to her. A few days later, they both makeup, and their days go by happily. Shalini, however, spends every day with suspicion because of Ashok, who plots to make Shalini’s life miserable and then to kill Sanjay. The rest of the story is about how Ashok tries to transcend Sanjay’s success and how to ruin his empire, and how Sanjay evades all that.
