The Murthy family is a well-educated and well-cultured family that consists of Narayanamurthy (Sree Charan), his wife Lekhamurthy (Meena Kumari), who are both IAS officers in different government offices, their three sons and their wives. The elder son Radha Madhav is an IPS officer who is married to an MBA graduate Swetha. The second son is Radha Krishna is a Lawyer. The youngest son Radha Manohar works in the press. Radha Madhav didn’t want to get married but gave in to his family’s request. They didn’t have a good relationship, but both of them acted in front of their parents.

One day, Swetha takes a bullet for her husband, and since then, their relationship takes a good turn. Radha Krishna takes the case of a middle-class woman who sells flowers. His parents suspect her intentions and tell him to stay away. He defies his parents to help her, and they later realize that she is a good woman. The audience connected with the serial on many levels owing to its clear depiction of misconceptions that a well-educated family can have no disputes whatsoever. The aspect where Narayanamurthy and Lekhamurthy put justice and honesty above everything else also inspired the audience.
