‘Jayam’ is a Telugu family drama serial that aired on ETV Telugu in 2003 and went off-air in 2005 with over 400 episodes in total. The serial tells the story of a woman named Padma and her in-laws. Padma sacrifices a lot for her family, which greatly concerns her mother-in-law, Ranganayaki who wishes the best for Padma. Ranganayaki’s brother Sudarshan is relatively well and Ranganayaki wants Padma to stay with him for a while. Although reluctant, she agrees to stay.
Soon she enters a love triangle with her husband and Andal. His alcoholic nature doesn’t help the situation and she hates it. Sudarshan’s wife Tulsi helps her to overcome the situation and helps her throughout the year to recover from her state. The serial also shows the back story of Padma’s sisters Vaishnavi, Kavusalya, and Sita and whether they are all successful to overcome their own personal problems as well.
