Bhanumathi is from a humble background. She is good in her studies. Her father, Koti, is a drunkard who doesn’t care for his family, even his ailing wife. Koti’s mother supports him, and she doesn’t even scold him when he grabs money from his wife, which she has kept for her medicines or children’s school fees. Bhanumathi has a younger sister, who is her only solace at home. Though they have tough situations, they care for each other and support their mother. Balaram is a bigwig in the town. Pardhu is his son. Pardhu is good at heart yet uneducated. When Balaram fixes Pardhu’s marriage to a girl, the bride’s family rejects Pardhu stating that he is uneducated. So, Balaram decides to search for a bride whom his family needs. What happens when he fixes Pardhu’s marriage with the school-going Bhanumathi?
