In the show, Annammal disowns her daughter Kalyani because she married an American man named Chris against her consent, but after 25 years, Kalyani falls sick and wants to be united with her family again. Thus, her daughter Samantha decides to reunite her mother with her family. Samantha was born in America, but she still has a deep love for the Indian culture.
To reunite her mother with her family, Samantha visits her grandparents, but while persuading them to forgive Kalyani and accept her, she falls in love with her maternal uncle’s son, Surya. How Does Samantha convince her grandparents to take her mother? What happens with Surya and Samantha? The rest of the story deals with all these questions.
