The story of this serial involves a conservative Tamil family trapped in the circle of uncertain situations. A son of this family who was staying in the West was coming back to his home. With his arrival, there comes a conflict between the present-day social changes and the traditional value systems of the family. The serial showcases how the current social changes which were fairly universal becomes a tough choice for the society of  1970s – 80s as the society back then, was not used to such changes.
