Aasai is the first mega serial of AVM for Star Vijay, the serial started on 6th of June 2005.

This is the story about Sreenivasan, a widower and the father of a daughter and two sons. Sreenivasan’s eldest son Suresh starts his own business with Pooja, his childhood friend.

Sreenivasan’s sister Vadivu is also stays with them; she takes care of Sreenivasan’s children. She is very dominative, and is the head of the family.

Suresh’s business partner Pooja has a crush on Suresh. Pooja is very much possessive of Suresh Meenakshi , Pooja’s widow mother, loves her daughter very much, she is ready to sacrifice anything for Pooja!

Meanwhile, Archana , a girl from a middle class family joins Suresh’s company. Suresh likes her character and from the movement he sees her, he falls in love with her! But Archana denies his proposal as she likes her family a lot and her family will need her earnings to live, so she cannot leave them for the sake of love. But later, she agrees to his proposal.

The rest of the story revolves around the life of these characters and their emotions, sacrifices, heart-breaks, and revenge!

Aasai aired during 2005, Monday to Thursday between 7.30 to 8:00 pm.
