The series revolves around Deeptha. Deeptha is a young man. He comes from a rural village in Sri Lanka called Thanamanwila. Deeptha comes from a poor background. He is weak in his studies. He even fails the GCE, an ordinary-level exam in a student’s life. Deeptha goes to school to check his scores only to realize that he has failed the exam. Many students fail to clear such exams in rural areas. He was just 16 but had already tasted his first failure. Life is not kind to him or his family. However, he ends up in Paris.

The viewers see Deeptha enjoying his life in Paris. This series shows the journey of Deeptha from his village to Paris. Deeptha has to overcome many challenges as he comes from rural. His village is backward in terms of education and resources. The show indirectly shows the difficulties faced by people after the Civil War. Deeptha’s father’s longing for his son is portrayed to shed light on the hundreds of people who went missing during the unfortunate events of the Civil War. The TV series shows the consequences of corrupted politicians and the aftereffects of sad historical events.
