Asalwasiyo is a Sinhala drama that aired on Rupavahini in 1989.
Josephine, a single mother, decides to rent her house to people from affluent backgrounds so that her daughters can marry wealthy men. Paul, a middle-aged widower, approaches Josephine to rent her house. Paul has two sons, who are yet to be married. Paul introduces himself as a lawyer and his son as an engineer. As Josephine’s idea matches with this tenant, she decided to rent them. But Paul worked as a lawyer only for some time, and his son works in a garage and is not an engineer. Will Josephine find out Paul’s fake identity?
