Despite being an ordinary worker, Bishna, the main lead, is observant of his existence and status.

The story set during the British rule begins with the authorities forcibly depriving Bishna of his rightful inheritance on a house. This house was officially registered by Bishan. After his children marry, he divides his land equally among them. Before getting married, the children willing to die for each other became rivals. Their emotional ties begin to sever as a result. In the story, Kartari shows her lack of regard for her brother-in-law by declining to prepare food for him. People from Punjab are renowned for having moral integrity. Leading an ethicall life, not bowing down to others, ruination, and recovery have always been Punjabi people's main traits. Bishna and his spouse moved from their city apartment and immediately returned to the village, relocating to their former home. Anhoye presents the narrative of discrimination based on religion and class with a new perspective. It is a heart-warming serial. It is a beautiful serial that showcases Punjabi culture to the viewers. It is a nostalgic serial as it presents situations from British rule.
