Swarna Khaddga is an Indian Mythological drama series that was initially aired on ETV Odia. It was later released on Colours Odia. It was also released on the ETV Win digital platform for online streaming. Its first episode was released on 6 July 2018. This is a dubbed version of a Telugu epic drama series in Odia. This drama series is considered one of the highest production value series of South India. The lavish outfits of the actors, the VFX and the animals including horses is what made the show a big hit. All the actors underwent extensive training for a long duration for the shooting of this serial. They were taught sword fighting, horse riding, and many other skills. The production house of this series was Arka Media Works. Arka Media is famous for constructing such magnificent series and movies. They created the Bahubali movies. Swarna Khaddga translates to the “golden sword”.

The story revolves around the rule of King Raja Mahendran in Manipuram. He is the newly appointed monarch of the prominent dynasty. After the death of his father, he took all the responsibilities. Some conspiracies and planning is happening against him, in his palace by his people. The role of Rajmata Sulochanadevi is also compelling in the show. Every decision is made according to her guidance. She has the last say in every decision of the dynasty. She is the backbone of the rule of her son.
