This prestigious award ceremony felicitates and honors the Marathi theatre artists in the presence of some renowned celebrities. The channel has launched on 15 August 1999 and was known as Alpha TV Marathi until 28 March 2005, when it was renamed as Zee Marathi. The Zee Marathi Gaurav Awards not only celebrate the achievements of our talented artists, but also serve as a platform to inspire the next generation of creative minds.
The first edition of the Zee Marathi Gaurav Awards held on May 24, 2004, at Ravindra Natya Mandir in Mumbai. The event was attended by many prominent Marathi film and television actors, directors, producers, and other industry professionals. Initially, the channel aired series from Monday to Friday, but from 1 July 2007, series started showing from Monday to Saturday. Also, from 24 July 2017.In addition to the main awards ceremony, the Zee Marathi Gaurav Awards also features various special performances and tribute segments to honour legendary artists and personalities.
