Leading Icons of Maharashtra is an award show that was broadcaste on SAAM TV. The show was presented and hosted by Mohini Sonar and Bhushan Karandikar and revolved around different people from all across Maharashtra. The purpose of an award is to signify and record any achievement that has impacted people in general. In this country and in developing times Maharashtra has always proven to be a significant state constituting several people who are capable of achieving success and contributing to the country's economy, development, and social structure.

The show Leading Icons of Maharashtra is a ceremony and ode to all the people who have worked hard to establish themselves in specific fields such as education, healthcare, astronomy, etc. and worked for the development of this country in some way or the other. The show starts with all the guests getting the traditional turban wrapped around their heads before entering the main venue to signify their nationality as Marathi. After the guests are seated the hosts start the ceremony by introducing themselves and then talking about the events happening all around the world.

After this, they call the guests by their respective names and show a video of their contribution to society and why the guest has been chosen to get awarded. People like Dr. Anil Herur, Shri Deepak Dilip Avhad, Dr.Manish Deepak Pardeshi, and Dr. K.V. Pathak were invited and awarded at the ceremony. Dr. Anil Herur is a renowned doctor working at the Fortis Hospital situated in Mumbai. His efforts have been life-changing for many people. His contribution to the medical field over the years is notable and praise-worthy. Shri Deepak Dilip Avhadis the founder and managing director of Dairy Power Limited which is one of the biggest companies in Nashik. Each and every one who was called on the stage had done something to achieve the title of being an icon. Their contribution to the society will always be memorable and respected by the future generations.
