Plot

As the war continued, the relationship of Ravana with his brothers started revealing. His complex past also sets the stage to determine Lanka’s fate. As Sugreev was captured and chained in Lanka, Nal and Nil, the Vanar soldiers, decided to set their King free. They enter the place where Sugreeva was chained by Ravana’s army, disguised as Lankan soldiers. When they were about to set him free, Kumbhakarna arrived. After the gigantic Kumbhakarna warned Sugreeva and left the place, these two bold soldiers, set their King free and escaped together. While the fight continues, Indrajit goes invisible. Following this, Lakshman and Hanuman started to uncover his invisibility secret. Lakshman and Indrajit clash against each other, and Ravana is high on hopes that his son will win. Did it happen? Star Performance

All the voice actors did a good job with their neat voiceovers.

Analysis

Like the previous season, the fourth season showcases a great improvised version of animation. This season has an exciting entry of Kumbhakarna and his fighting abilities. The makers tried to avoid predictability and introduced some elements in between, but it didn’t work out. However, Sugreeva’s escape sequence was finely made. It was exciting to watch the sequence with anxiety about whether Kumbhakarna would catch Nil and Nal while setting Sugreeva free. There are pacing issues in some episodes. Though all the voice actors have done a great job, Sharad Kelkar’s voice as Ravana is fantastic and attracts the audience. As said, the sharp animation is the biggest plus in this series.

Verdict

This season is impressive, with neat voice acting and stunning animation, despite flaws like pacing issues.
