Plot

After their separation, Dr Raj and Anju didn’t have anything peaceful. Their daughter, Ira, stays with her father. Raj had an affair with a nurse, Roshni, and everyone is aware of their relationship. Raj celebrates his daughter’s birthday well. The next day after her birthday, Raj was arrested for killing Roshni by slitting her throat. Anju approaches Madhav Mishra, the lawyer, to take this case and save her husband. What happened between Raj and Roshni? Why did Anju plead with the lawyer to save her estranged husband?

Star Performance

Pankaj Tripathi is good in his role. His expressions are fantastic and boost the movie-watching interest. Shweta Basu Prasad is okay in her role, but is not effective due to weak characterization.

Analysis

The series started on a good note with its regular thrilling elements, murder and investigation. There are enough twists and turns showcasing the murder motive. The screenplay moves at a brisk pace, making the audience engaged. However, the first episode moves slowly with character establishment and some unnecessary scenes. Some characters are not developed, including that of Shweta Basu Prasad. The visuals are decent, the BGM is good, and it elevates the investigation and court scenes. The editing should’ve been better.

Verdict

The series is watchable for the performance of Pankaj Tripathi. If the rest of the characters had been developed well, the performances could’ve been better, making this season with strong performances. However, it is watchable once!
