Kunal Pandit is an Indian singer and composer who gained his popularity after joining the musical reality game show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012 on Zee TV. Among all the contenders, Kunal is the first to scored 100% votes from the audience. He is also one of the top 10 contestants at that time. He sang Allah Jaane Maula by Sajid-Wajid in the elimination round but he was one of the bottom four at that time and was eliminated on November 11, 2012.
Kunal was born on October 7, 1993 and was hailed from Maharashtra, Mumbai. He studied at Bombay Cambridge High School and later attended Mithibai College in Mumbai. His father, Pradeep Pandit have thought him Indian classical music since he was five and he started performing on stage at the age of seven. He also knows how to play piano and also learnt Jazz and Western music in the past years from his gurus, Raymond Pimenta, Raja Pandit (Kunal’s uncle who is also a musician) and Xavier Fernandes. He is also a trained tabla player from Ajrada Gharana.
At his very young age, he already performed in Bollywood and Sufiyana. He also performed with various popular personalities in Bollywood including Sukhwinder Singh, Anoop Jalota, Rahul Vaidya, Talat Aziz and more. He also got the chance to sing with renowned Indian singers like Sonu Nigam, Javed Ali, Asha Bhosle, Sajid-Wajid, Shaan and Suresh Wadkar and sing with her uncle, Deepak Pandit’s orchestra.

Vishwajeet Borwankar nicknamed Vish, is a singer, composer, songwriter and music producer. He was born on November 22, 1984, in Mumbai. His father Milind Borwankar who worked as a Manager at Akhil Bhatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai, enlightened him with the knowledge of music at an early age. Vish was brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He completed his schooling from Infant Jesus School and pursued his masters in music from University of Mumbai. He has been married to Gayatri Borwankar since December 8, 2008. The couple is blessed with an adorable daughter Shivanwita. Dr. Ramesh Deshpande who is a well known vocalist of present generation and an artist of laudable talent had a big influence as a guru for seven to eight years on Vishwajeet. Under the guidance of Dr. Ramesh Deshpande, Vish developed a great command on Gwalior gayaki.

Jasraj Jayant Joshi is a playback singer and a composer. He is the winner of the renowned Indian singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ which is telecasted on Zee TV. He is very famous when it comes to Marathi music industry. He has sung songs like ‘Satrangi Re,’ ‘Kalandar’ and ‘Pinjade Wale’ from Marathi remake of Bollywood movie ‘Highway.’ Jasraj is quite popular in Marathi industry, however; he has sung some Hindi songs too. Jasraj, who belonged from Pune, won the title on ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ in 2012. He won the title by defeating contestants like Shehnaz Akhtar from Punjab, who secured second place, Vishwajeet Borwankar from Mumbai, who stood on third place and Mohammed Aman from Rajasthan, who secure Fourth place. The 29-year-old has also made several performances in television shows and some festival celebrations for the last nine years.

14. Rahul Ram
Rahul Ram is a renowned Indian bass guitarist, music composer and activist. He joined the Indian rock band called the Indian Ocean in the year 1991. He used to play bass in a rock and roll band during his junior school. He is also a volunteer of Kalpavriksh, an environmental action group. Rahul studied at St. Xavier’s School in Delhi and later attended St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, where he took a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry. He took a Masters Degree in Chemistry at IIT Kanpur. He shifted to the USA and became a scholar (Andrew White) of Cornell University, where he took a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology. In the year 1988, he got married to Amita Baviskar and got separated in 2001. They only had their divorce in 2012 but remained as friends. He lost his one eye at the age of 11, and this is the reason he is not active in any sports-related things that needed stereoscopic vision. In 1990, to continue his stay in the USA, Rahul attempted to find a job in many big environmental agencies and also applied as a Chemistry teacher in the West Indies’ high school.

Javed Ali (Javed Hussain) was born in Delhi in 1982. He has been working as an Indian playback singer since 2000. Ali started his singing journey at a very early age with his father, who is a popular Qawwali singer named, Ustad Hamid Hussain. He is also a playback singer in Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, and Tamil.
He has been singing since 2000, but his song “Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein” from the film Naqaab (2007) made him famous in Bollywood. After that, he sang hit song like Jashn-E-Bahaara from the Movie Jodha Akbar (2008). He also sang the song Guzarish (Ghajini) and Maula mere Maula (Arziyan). Javed started his career by singing the song for movie Beti No.1, but this couldn’t help him to grow up his career. After that, he worked in many movies like Chameli, Golmal, Ho Gaya Na, Dil Jo Bhi Kahey, Neal n Nikki and Zindagi Rocks. His song Nagada Nagada with Sonu Nigam from the movie “Jab We Met” has been a great hit. Also, his song “Tu Muskura” along with Alka Yagnik and A R Rahman from movie Yuvvraaj had hit.

16. Shankar Mahadevan
Shankar Mahadevan, a well-renowned, talented and famous music composer, and singer. An accomplished musician in Tamil cinema, he is a part of the Shankar Ehsaan Loy trio team that provides music to Bollywood and other International films. He has won various Indian and multiple National Film Award. His most famous albums include, “Breathless“- Album that first gave him fame, including the song, "Breathless," in which he sings throughout the whole song without pausing to breathe and “Nine” - Nine is Shankar's most recent album. Each song is a representation of a "mood," including joy, sadness, love, etc. He was also invited by UNESCO and the US State Department to perform at the UN General Assembly Hall for the finale of the International Jazz Festival on 30 April 2012 which is a thing of pride. Shankar has always considered himself as a restless student wanting to learn more every time. He says he’s thirsty and want to learn every time and experiment with something new. He wants to be a perfectionist. Shanker also feels that Karnatak music is the most powerful form of music and he himself started with Karnataka classic which he says is the best to create a prominent base for music. Music is the thing which excites Shanker the most, and he would always be attached to it. Personal Life: Shanker Mahadevan was born in Chennai to a Tamil family but was later brought to Mumbai and was raised there. Being born into a Tamil family and later raised in Mumbai, he knows both Hindi and Tamil language but is not well versed with Tamil and Malayalam. He finished his schooling from OLPS High School in Chembur and his engineering in computer science from R.A.I.T (D Y Patil, Navi Mumbai). His wife, Sangeeta is Maharashtrian and oldest son Siddharth Mahadevan. Also, a singer, made his debut on the 2013 Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’s song, Zinda. Shankar’s youngest son, Shivam Mahadevan, also a singer made his debut in 2013 in the movie Dhoom 3’s song, Bande Hain Hum Uske. Mahadevan is fluent in Marathi, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu and English.
