. Kajol Mukherjee (Ishita) belongs to an average Bengali household with three younger sisters and a younger brother. Being the oldest, she is a dutiful and realistic person.
She cares for her family and is loyal. Kajol is engaged to Arjun Chatterjee (Harshad). However, unseen circumstances and desperate encounters result in the lovers growing apart. As a result, their marriage gets canceled. Kajol’s father gets hospitalized because of an accident. Dr.AnuragBasu (Karan)saves his life. Fate leads Kajol to Anurag, and they get married. While Arjun gets married to Naina, Kajol’s sister. Naina and Arjun focus on making Kajol’s life hell. Thus, Kajol sets out on a life full of hurdles to prove herself to her family and her in-laws. All the while battling for her self-respect and love. Despite the predictable plot, the serial is well received for the relatable characters.
