Mangal and Lakshmi are cousins. Mangal has a troubled marriage life, and she fights to make her life smooth. Though she has been ill-treated by her husband, she always wears a smile on her face. Meanwhile, Mangal has to find the right bridegroom for Laskhmi and settle in life. Mangal has been taking care of Lakshmi since her childhood, as she lost her mother earlier. In the position of a mother, Mangal seeks a groom for Lakshmi, who will treat her with respect. The rest of the story deals with how their bond continues and how Lakshmi gets settled.
