In the land of Kaya, an unlimited country saturated with ancient legends and unsolved mysteries, "Kali Kaya" is an animated action-adventure series that will sweep young viewers off their feet. Here is an unfair show, due to its reason for existence: fearless, cool-headed 12-year-old Kali turns out to be a hero just to save her homeland from impending evil. The story continues in the Kingdom of Kaya, a peaceful land surrounded by magic forests and high mountains, inside which there dwell magic creatures. All this is disrupted one day with the rise of an ancient evil: the dark sorceress Zorana. She rises from her millennial slumber and sets out to conquer Kaya with her dark magic, ready to plunge it into eternal darkness where only fear and despair could exist.
Kali is a heroine; she was only an ultra-ordinary girl from one of the numerous small villages in Kaya. Resourcefulness and relative bravery were what she was well noted for. Although still small, she does not close her eyes before injustice, and she has iron will. One day she manages to find an ancient artifact within the woods, the Amulet of Light - according to legend mighty against Zorana. And so began Kali's sanctified destiny as the protector of the body. Led on by the Amulet, Kali risks every step through the kingdom to gather the rest of the pieces that restore the legendary Staff of Elements. Kali knows this weapon is able to protect from dark magic cast by Zorana. On her way, she meets other various companions who will aid her in this quest: Arun, a mysterious warrior, Mira, a young sorceress-in-training, and Balu, his talking animal companion, both mischievous and loyal.
Kali and her friends come out with a plan to unlock the Staff mysteries as they set out on an epic journey to depart from dangerous grounds, all while outsmarting cunning villains, and solving ancient enigmas. Each episode comes with another problem and its moral lesson. She learns this series about teamwork, courageous acts, and what heroism is all about. This is more than good vs. evil; this is a journey of self-discovery and friendships and hope. Through Kali's eyes, this is the kind of movie I expect to make young viewers square up their fears and find it in themselves that even the smallest light can shine out dramatically against dark times. With vivid animation and interactive characters to go with a story unfolding at breakneck speed, Kali Kaya is definitely not to be missed by the young adventurers out there on Hungama TV.
