Himalaya Darshan was a 13-episodic serial. However, it turned out to be 39 episodes. In The first run of 13 episodes, we see the Western Himalayas, with stories from Kashmir, Ladakh, and higher up and west. Of the many stories in the show, one we can easily recall involved a film crew going on an expedition about the mysterious Snowman 'Yeti' and what happens when they finally see one. The second run of the exciting serial was based in the Central Himalayas. In one of the best episodes, we see a man venture deep into the Kailash-Mansarovar territory while looking for his herd of sheep. The man does not believe in god and suddenly meets Lord Shankar in disguise. The man goes with lord Shankar to Mount Kailash and spends seven days with him. When he returns to his village after seven days, he realizes that it's not seven days but 700 years that have passed. Neelima Azim, Joan David, Sanjana Kapoor, Rita Rani Kaul, etc., were the series' cast.
