Deepti Naval belongs to India. She is an actress, a director, painter, writer and a photographer. Her family belongs to Amritsar, Punjab. Deepti was born in Amritsar. She acted in more than 90 Indian films. She started her career in 1980 by acting in an Indian film Ek Baar Phir and her services in the industry were first recognized due to her brilliant performance in her first movie. She acted in many Bollywood films such as Chashme Baddoor, Mirch Masala, Katha, Kamla and many more. She won many award for the best performer in numerous intercontinental film centenaries for her role in Leela, Listen Amaya and Memories in March. She was awarded by NY Indian picture centenary for her directional role. She also inscribed and directed a television serial Thoda Sa Aasmaan about womanhood and created a tourism show.

She worked mostly with Farooq Shaikh. They worked together in many Indian pictures, like Chashme Baddoor, Saath Saath, Katha, Kisise Na Kehna and many more super hit Indian films.

In April she became the 2007 Accolade Honoree of the Indian Movie Anniversary of Los Angeles. This happened after she produced her movie Do Paise Ki Dhoop, Chaar Aane Ki Baarish. In 1989, she also acted in a movie Marhi Da Diva. It was a Punjabi film.

Deepti Naval became wife of the film producer and director Mr. Prakash Jha. They do not have their own children therefore they adopted a daughter whose name is Disha. Deepti was engaged with Vinod Pandit later on but after the death of Vinod Pandit, now she is concentrating on her inspired career. She is still performing in different Indian films.
