The elder son of the family, and the present owner of the Noon Company, Vijaypath Noon are the perfect son to his Bebay and a perfect father to his son Ritvik. Ritvik is the modern boy who has no trust in love and had an inbuilt hatred for women, especially the ones who go out with guys for money. This hatred is deep rooted because of the experience with hi mother who left his family for a more wealthy person.
The female character, Dr. Palak Sharma is a down to earth, a middle-class girl possessing strong morals. She opted the career in medicines because of her experience with her brother who died because of intake of wrong medicine. The serial shows that Ritvik and Palak cross paths many times as enemies, then friends, and in the end as lovers. There are also many other characters involved and their stories are intertwined with that of Ritvik, and Palak.
