2. Shraddha Nigam

Shraddha Nigam is a beautiful and extremely well-known Indian television actress. Her awesome looks, spectacular figure and wonderful acting skills made her a household name in the Hindi television industry. Shraddha had her debut with the TV-serial ‘Choodiyaan’. This serial marked the keynote of her career in the TV industry and right after this, there was no looking back for her. She rose to fame with her roles of Detective Krishna in ‘Krishna Arjun’. Here, her role of detective ‘Krishna’ was praised by critics and it supposedly ‘stole hearts’ of innumerable viewers. Right after that, she was casted in ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’, where she played the role of a bubbly and smart girl who was innocent at heart and loved her family.


While acting in serials, Shraddha came across Karan Singh Grover and the sizzling chemistry of the two was the talk of B-Town for quite a few days. The couple soon got married; however, the marriage did not work because of Karan’s infidelity. They got divorced within five years of marriage and in the year 2012, Shraddha married Mayank Arora.


Apart from acting in popular serials, Shraddha also featured in films like ‘Lahore’, ‘Partition’, ‘Jack N Jhol’, ‘Say Salaam India’, ‘Yatharth’ aned ‘Aaghaz’. ‘Lahore’, ‘Say salaam India’ and ‘Partition’ were patriotic films, where she played small roles. ‘Jack N Jhhol’ is a romantic comedy with high voltage drama, fun and comic timing. However, none of these films gave her as much popularity as her roles from the TV serials.


Shraddha had also been a host of ‘Filmy Cocktail’ and ‘Sa Re ga Ma Pa’ (2007). Her roles in ‘Maano ya na Maano’, ‘Saathiya’, ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai ’, ‘Kalakarz’ and ‘Shree Adi Manav’ had been much loved by the viewers and the critics, alike. ‘Maano Ya Na Maano’ and ‘Shree Adi Manav’ witnessed Shraddha playing certain supernatural characters.


She also featured in an episode of ‘Naach Baliye 3’ with ex husband Karan Singh Grover. Currently, Shraddha is busy managing her own fashion line and spending time with her present husband, Mayank Arora.

Nausheen Sardar Ali is the daughter of a Punjabi Muslim father and an Iranian mother. Her family resides in Mumbai and her parents had nothing to do with films or acting but Nausheen was interested in performing arts since her school days. She would regularly participate in Fancy Dress Competitions, elocution contests and one act plays during her school. 

 

After completion of her school education, She completed her graduation from MMK college, Mumbai and started working as a model. She continued as a model for nearly two years and at the age of 19years, she got the big break of her life by catching attention of Balaji Telefilms and she was cast as Kkusum in the title role and raised ripples in the TV world by her superior performance. She also worked in Pakistani TV series Ana where also her performance won great accolades. After that she also did a number of Pakistani TV serials and one of the most popular serials was Kuchh Dil Se which broke many records of popularity in Pakistan.

Sonu Nigam is a renowned Bollywood singer and composer. He was born on July 30, 1973 in Faridabad, Haryana. Hailing from a musical background, both his parents are singers. He is the son of singer Agam Kumar Nigam. The first performance he gave was at the tender age of 3 when he performed the song Kya Hua Tera Wada by Mohammed Rafi. Besides singing Hindi songs he has recorded songs in Kannada, Assamese, Oriya, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi, Nepali and Marathi languages. 12. Ashim Samanta

Son of director Shakti Samanta it wouldn’t be long until Ashim Samantha would follow the footstep of his father into the film industry. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 1976 in commerce from Bombay University. 


His film career started as an assistant director for Bombay 405 Miles to Brij Savannah. Aamne Samne was the first film he directed which staring Mithun Chakraborty along with Bindiya Goswani. He went on to direct numerous films including Ankhon Mein Tum Ho in 1997 which was a love story which revolves around a couple in which the girl is destined to kill her love. He then went in to directing sitcom and directed Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, a romantic drama that aired on Sony TV. The sitcom was more of a drama film that consists of 52 episodes. He then went on to direct Antariksh- Ek Amar Katha for Star Plus. The two series received positive reviews and prompted him to direct two more series; Durga and Kalchakra. 


Throughout his career Ashim has directed 9 films and worked on another 6 others as a producer. He took the reigns of Shakti Films after his dad passed away. He has one son, Aditya Samanta, who is an aspiring actor and appeared in his father’s production, Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai, in 2012.

Akshay Anand is a Bollywood actor who became popular for his performances in many Hindi television serials and films. His real name is John Gardener and used the screen name, Akshay Anand from which he acted as Akshay in Indradhanush and Dev Anand added Anand to his name when they were doing the film, Hum Naujawan. He was married to Rama and they have two kids namely Ayaan and Anaaya. He studied at St. Xavier’s School in Mumbai and pursue his Economics course. Initially, he is not interested in acting until one day, while riding in a train on his way to Delhi, a co-passenger approached him about shoes. It turns out that the actor is the popular director, Anand Mahendroo and offered him a role in Indradhanush.


He was debuted as a television actor through the children’s television series, Indradhanush which was aired on DD National in year 1989. He is also part of the award-winning soap, Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai on Sony TV in year 1997 and Choti Maa – Ek Anokha Bandhan on Zee TV. He also bags a role on DD2 9 Gold’s Mere Samne Wali Khidki. In 2009, Anand played as Manish Sabharwal in the Balaji Telefilms’ Bandini which was aired on NDTV Imagine and played the role of Aatish Parikh in the soap, Basera. Desai in the Hindi drama film, Zakhm and played as the spoiler in the love story of Saif Ali Khan and Twinkle Khanna’s characters in the film, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan in 1999. Later, he donned the role of Harish Patel in the Bollywood action film, Aaghaaz. Anand also acted as Ram Prasad Bismil in the Hindi film, 23rd March 1932: Shaheed by Guddu Dhanoa; a film that portrays the events on the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev in year 1931. Anand was also seen as the uncle of Abhimanyu Singh (played by Sidharth Malhorta) in the box-office romantic comedy film, Student of the Year in 2012. 

Anand has passion for writing too; in fact, he wrote one of the four stories of the horror series, Raat Hone Ko Hai.

16. Gaurav Chopra

Gaurav Chopra is a popular, stylish Hindi Television actor and is famous for his role of Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore on Colours TV’s soap opera 'Uttaran'. Born on 4th April 1979, his first appearance was as Ballu, the ghost, in kids’ series, Ruby Duby Hub Dub, aired on Sahara One in 2004. This was followed by his portrayal as Sandy in Zee TV’s 'Lavanya' and an appearance as the assassin, Gunshot, in Karma – Koi Aa Raha Hai Waqt Badalney, a superhero drama series aired on Star Plus. 

He played the roles of Prem in Piya ka Ghar, Kabeer in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Kapil Singhania in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan, all of which aired on Zee TV.
