The 7th Star Screen Awards, also known as the Star Screen Award 2001, was telecasted on Star Plus and was sponsored by Videocon International. The event took place at the Andheri Sports Complex on January 20. It honored the top films of 2000. A total of twenty-five awards were given in various categories, of which fourteen were Popular Awards, and the rest eleven were Technical Awards.
