Plot
The web series is a famous gamified baking show or competition. Here, the competitors compete with other by leveraging their skills and talents to make the most beautiful and delicious cakes. One primary rule in this contest is that the cakes must look as hyper-realistic as possible. They must make a copy of an object but with cake. It must look realistic enough for the judges to be deceived. If they fail to fool the judges they will be eliminated. In each episode, there is always one creative winner who receives $5,000. Not only that, they even have to participate in a fun game where they must identify real cash from fake cash made of cake. Day, the show host was inspired to create this web series because of a meme that went viral. It was of a cake that replicates real objects. It fascinated Day so much that it prompted him to create this show.
Star Performance
Grace really stood out. She has a knack for saying it how it is, and although it risked her getting eliminated, she said out loud the things that we, the audience, would think about while watching the show. She practically thought our thoughts out loud.
Analysis
Season 3 of this web series seemingly has more exceptionally talented and skilled bakers than the previous season. It not only has more talent, but the contestants were surprisingly more supportive towards each other. The previous seasons’ contestants lacked this rapport. As always, each contestant has a very intriguing personality, all unique and not at all dull. Usually reality shows have people with amiable personalities, but also have people with unattractive personalities. However, this show is filled with different kinds of people with more amiable personalities. So it was heartwarming to watch these contestants with immense talent get along.
