Abhalmaya is an Indian drama Marathi soap opera that was broadcasted on Zee Marathi and has two seasons comprising of 1182 episodes in total. The serial tells the story of a professor named Sudha Joshi and her family which comprises her husband named Sharad and her two daughters named Akansha and Anushka. Sharad is also a professor and he falls in love with another woman named Chitra who has a daughter named Chingi.
When Sudha finds out about the affair and when Sharad chooses Chitra over her, it leads to a rift in the family and several problems arise in their marital life. How she and her daughters cope with the betrayal constitutes the rest of the serial.
