Deal Ya No Deal (the adaptation of the popular international Deal or No Deal format) was premiered on November 23, 2005, on Sony Entertainment Television and aired on three nights each week. Contestants held the cases. There is a top prize of 10,000,000 rupees (about $255,000 USD), and the lowest prize was originally a breath freshener, called a Chlormint, but the lowest prize was later 25 paisa although the Chlormint would remain as a prize throughout the entire series. Deal Ya No Deal was first hosted by Madhavan, but he left the show after 35-episode contract, 'Mandira Bedi' was the next show.
The second series premiered in late January 2006. In this series, when the contestant picked a case, the contestant that held the case could guess the amount in it. If they guessed correctly, in this series, the contestant had to guess the amount in a case that he had to pick up. If they are able to guess it correctly, they would win an amount of Rs. 50,000.
Mandira Bedi also quit the show after the second series. Consequently, the third season was presented by Rajeev Khandelwal as a new host of the show in April 2006. The third series had no any games. Models had to hold the briefcases. In this series Rajeev, the host, calls the contestant and asks them a question with 2 promising answers. If the answers were given correctly, the contestants were offered to play. In July 2006, this version ended.
