Kalaipuli G Sekaran is a producer-director, film distributor and actor who contributed for several Tamil films. Shekhar started his career as a distributor and financier for movies. He worked on film Kalaipuli with Soori and Thanu before becoming a producer for the talkies. In 1985, the talkie Yaar directed by Kannan debuted him as a producer as well as an actor in a negative role. Later, he initiated an appearance as a director for some of the movies like Kaval Poonaigal in 1989, Oorai Therunjukitten in 1988 and in 1994 for the show Ulavaali. In 1995, he appeared for a movie Jameen Kottai as a lead actor. After this drama, he acted in several screen places with several lead roles in Kudumba Sangili in 1999. After completing this moving picture, Sekhar put an end to his acting career and entered into the distributing career.
