Plot
Set in 1995, a small town in Andhra Pradesh now Telangana faces threats of prohibition and Naxalism. Pratap Goud, a wealthy toddy tapper uses his power to exploit the villagers.
Star performance
The acting performances are decent at best. Nobody is a standout in this film.
Analysis
The film is honestly a generic action drama, which does not offer anything new. The hero entries, slo-mo shots, action sequences with no logic are getting tired at this point. There was a time when films like these were the rage but its 2024 even mass audience deserves something new. The acting performances are decent at best. Nobody is a standout in this film. The premise had potential if the makers tried to offer something new but went to the usual repetitive tropes. This screenplay of first the trouble then a messiah comes in for the rescue is getting tiring at this point. The film is shot well, the cinematography is good, the music is decent and production value is good. Other than this there is nothing to look forward to in this film unless you enjoy films like these. Kalki Compound is a below average action drama with nothing new to offer.
