2. Karate Raja
Karate Raja is a popular villain and character artist in Tamil movies. He has acted with actors like Rajinikanth, Vijay, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Suriya, Vikram, etc. He is known for movies like’Virumaandi’ where he played actor Kamal Haasan’s friend. This movie was produced, written and directed by Kamal Hassan himself. In the same year, he appeared in another Tamil movie ‘Ghilli’ where he played actor Prakash Raj’s henchman. The movie had Trisha and Vijay in lead roles, and the movie was a box office success. In the same year 2004, he also acted with Kamal Haasan in an another movie 'Vasool Raja MBBS' which was a remake of Hindi movie 'Munnabhai MBBS'. In this movie, he played the role of Margabandhu/Mark. Thus, Karate Raja was a lucky co-star who had acted in most popular Tamil films which had an excellent opening at the box office and even won the praise from critics. He made his debut on the big screen with the movie Mudhalvan in the year 1999, where he enacted the part of a sub-inspector of police. In 2001, Ram suffered a severe injury in the head while shooting the movie Dheena. He recovered soon and appeared in several movies as a thug like Jana, Vasool Raja MBBS, Aathi, Pattaya Kealppu, Karthik Anitha, Kadhal Kadhai, 365 Kadhal Kadithangal, Agam Puram, Sattam Oru Iruttarai, KallaThuppakki, Goli Soda, Ponge Ezhu Manohara, Yennai Arindhaal, and many more. He also had the luck of working with the lifeline of the South Film Industry, Superstar Rajnikanth, in the movie Kabali that released in 2016. Sampath got a strong role after twenty years with the movie Thimiru Pudichavan in 2018. After this meaty role, Sampath gained fame and was now a renowned villain in the Tamil Film Industry. This role acted as a Midas touch after which he got roles like an Aghori, in Kanchana 3. Sampath Ram was signed as the main antagonist in the movie Thatrom Thookrom. Due to his head injury, his fame came late to him but his talent held on to it and did not let it go.
