Plot

Richa and Diwakar get married and theirs is an arranged marriage. Diwakar is a physician by profession. Richa’s father-in-law always wanted to have food at home. He doesn’t want to eat food from hotels, as it may spoil his health. Richa and her mother-in-law’s duty is to cook thrice, clean the vessels, and keep the home clean. Once her mother-in-law has to leave the house for a few months, the entire responsibility falls on Richa’s shoulders. Though she works perfectly, her father-in-law’s perception is different. Richa is irritated by her daily chores, and also she didn’t get any support from her husband. Being a good dancer, she forgot her passion for dance due to the house chores. What is Richa’s decision? Will she restart her dancing career? The rest of the film deals with this.

Star Performance

Sanya’s performance is impressive. Her expressions are perfect for the emotional sequences. Her eyes speak more than her dialogues. Kanwaljit and Nishant have done what was required.

Analysis

The film stands true to the original and shows how a patriarchal society behaves with a housewife. Sanya is a perfect choice. Already, we have seen her performing excellently in her previous outings, including Kathal and Meenakshi Sundareshwar. This one is also different from her side. The in-house setting, visuals, and the editing are pretty decent. For the people who haven’t watch The Great Indian Wedding, it may appeal fresh.
