He was born on 25th December 1979 in Trivandrum, present day Thiruvananthapuram, in Kerala in India. He lives in Kochi in Kerala. He worked in Malayalam films like White Paper, Appuram Bengal Ippuram Thiroovithamkoor, Crayons and Take Off. Rajeev Vijay was the director of photography of the Malayalam movie White Paper directed by Mangalath Radhakrishnan. The drama film hit the silver screen in 2012. Rajeev Vijay worked as a cinematographer for the director Riju Nair in his Mollywood film Snehamulloraal Koodeyullappol. The Malayalam feature film hit the silver screen on 7th March 2014.
