Gattu, Produced by the Children’s Film Society of India, is a movie that will not be admired by only children but everyone.The movie portrays heart-warming moments within and outside the school premises.It would remind you of your childhood, especially if you were born and brought up in a small town. Plot
The tale has been set in a small town of Roorkee in the Himalayan foothills where kite-flying is everyone’s hobby. Gattu spends most of his free time flying kites. However, there's one black Kite (Kaali) which is a major irritant in Gattu’s life.Nobody has ever succeeded in their attempt to defeat Kali. Kali rules the sky.To cut and capture Kali, Gattu discovers that the local school has a roof that will give him a vantage point. How Gattu sneaks into school to fly his kite and whether he defeats Kaali or not is what rest of the plot consist of.

Also, it subtly throws light on issues like illiteracy and child labour, poverty. You will leave the hall with a smile on your face. Gattu is yet another gem that Hindi film industry can be proud of.

Mohammad Samad’s natural act has brought Gattu to life. He has pulled out Gattu’s role with such an aplomb.
