Plot
Laura is a student, who enjoys the social life with her family and friends. She is very much active on her social media pages. She dates Tyler and is a close friend to Kobe. Laura lives with her friends Olivia, Isabel and Gustavo. While her friendship and romantic life are moving good, she receives a friend request on Facebook from Marina. Marina is a student of the same campus where Laura pursues her studies. Laura is the first Facebook friend of Marina, who says that she is lonely. Laura sees some images on Marina’s profile, which disturbs her a lot. Laura was not comfortable with Marina, as she felt something weird on her Facebook. Marina publicly insults Laura and Laura push her accidentally, during the fight. Marina’s hood comes off and Laura shocks on seeing her hairless head. Later, Marina apologizes to Laura. But, Laura unfriends her. Then, Marina writes a suicide note and records it on her webcam. It automatically gets posted to Laura's social account and on the other social media. Laura was unable to delete it. When Kobe and Laura investigate Marina’s Facebook account, they find something mysterious. What is that? What happened to Laura and Kobe? Performances by the star cast are quite good. No flaws in the acting.
Analysis
Choosing a cyber-thriller is not new to Hollywood. However, the director has put a lot of efforts to make it interesting. But, there are some flaws in the screenplay and the logic is missing. Without informing the cops, the students start investigating and land in trouble. This seems to be insensible.

Friend Request is not a bad idea to spend your weekend. If you are a fan of the psychological horror genre, then you could watch it once.
