Plot

Skyview Restaurant Tower was opened in 1968. Iris Campbell and her fiancé attend the opening ceremony. At the dance party, Iris has a premonition in which she sees the glass floor cracking and the gas leakage leading to the structural damage of the tower and killing all. After 56 years, Stefanie suffers from nightmares about the tower collapse. Stefanie inquires about Iris, her grandmother, to her uncle, Howard. Soon, she visits Iris, who lives in a special cabin, and inquires about the tower. Iris tells Stefanie that she warned about the glass floor breakage she saw in her premonition and made everyone move from there. Hence, nothing happened, including the tower collapse. However, the survivors and their family, who would’ve been killed at the supposed-to-have-happened tower collapse, are chased by Death. After revealing this, Iris gives Stefani, a book that has Death’s omens. Soon, Iris dies. After her death, Howard steps on a glass and falls into the land mower’s path, which kills him. Soon, Stefanie starts feeling the chain reaction and tries to save the rest of her family. Who is successful in the end, Stefanie or Death?

Star Performance

Richard Harmon’s performance is impressive.  The rest of the stars are good in their roles.

Analysis

The sixth instalment gives full thrill like its previous instalments. Right from the first scene till the climax, the film moves at a brisk pace, keeping the audience glued to their seats. The visuals are fine. The DOP should be appreciated for capturing the 60s with beautiful lighting and warm colors. The VFX work is good. The BGM should’ve been less noisy. The climax scene is good, yet it feels a little stretched, explaining the logic.

What’s There?

  • The screenplay is designed with a good pace
  • The spooky feel is guaranteed
  • The performances are good, and the right actors are placed in the right characters

What’s Not There?

  • The climax should’ve been a little crispy

Verdict

Though it is raw and spooky, the fans of the Final Destination series will definitely love this.
