Plot
Axel Foley leaves his native Detroit to help his daughter Jane, a lawyer in Beverly Hills. Jane stuck into trouble, after investigating a case about a cop. Axel teams up with Bobby, a new detective in the police department at Beverly Hills. Will the estranged father help his daughter in solving the case and save her life? The rest of the film focuses on these.
Star Performance
Eddie is fantastic in his role as Axel Foley. His combination scenes with Joseph Gordon-Levitt add strength to the movie’s flow. His comedy timing and body language are impressive as usual. Joseph Gordon-Levitt fits well in the role. His action performance is quite good. John Ashton and Judge Reinhold are good in their roles. Taylour Paige did a good job. Her emotional scenes with Murphy are impressive.
Analysis
Mark Molloy executed the film well using references from previous franchises. Eddie’s intro scene is perfectly made. The action sequences are choreographed well, especially the chasing scenes. Though there are no dull moments in the film, the writing is simple, and the story is easily predictable. There are straight scenes with no twists and turns. Though the scenes with Eddie and Taylour are emotional, they lack depth. The visuals are good, and the editing is decent. The BGM is okay.
