Title Change For Udta Punjab? Will It Release On 17th June?

Just before nine days of the release, Udta Punjab is facing the controversy which questions the release date of the film, now. The Censor Board of Film Certification has suggested 89 cuts in the film as it has a lot of expletives. Moreover, the film has a lot of scenes that showcase the drug usage by Shahid Kapoor. It is also stated that the title should be changed as the film should not showcase an existing place like Punjab. Now, the doubt is, whether the film will release on its scheduled date or not. When we tried to contact Pahlaj Nihalani, the chairperson of CBFC, he was not available. The production house says that the title change could not be accepted. As they have been promoting the film for more than a year with the same title, the production house is not ready to change the title.
