Netflix is the online streaming service that is based on the US. Shivsena party’s IT cell member Ramesh Solanki, has filed a police complaint against the online streaming service Netflix that it defames India and the Hindus. He also cited some examples that they are purposely streaming the series including Sacred Games, Laila and Ghoul to insult Hindus and India. He registered his complaint in LT Marg police station, Mumbai. It is to be noted that the complaint copy had been sent to Mumbai commissioner of police and the chief minister of the state, Devendra Fadnavis.
Solanki had also stated that Netflix has the intention to defame India in the world arena and they have Hindu phobia and so they project India in a bad light. He also stated that essential actions should be taken against Netflix and their license should be canceled. He also stated that although Hindus are the minority community when comparing it globally, they should not be defamed.
