Dilhani Wkanayake is a talented Sri Lankan Actress in the Cinema, Theatre, and Television Industry. She was born on 4 March 1970 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She did her schooling at St. Clare’s Girls School, Colombo. She started her career by performing in the ballets like Ukussa, Vishwa Geethaya, and Saama.In 1991, she made her entry into the cinema with her debut film, Dedunnen Samanaliyak. Gradually, she performed notable roles in films such as Sudu Kalu Saha Alu, Mage Wam Atha, Sulanga, Me mange Sandia, Pem Kekula, Nilambare, and Gamani. She also performed comedy roles in Chariyo Darling and Chaya Maya.

Along with the cinema, she has also done teledramas like Maya Ranga, Swarna Kingkini, Meduma Sath Sanda Kirana, and Amarapuraya. Dilhani was also the judge of Ranawiru Real Star and Mega Star. She has done commercials and has been a brand ambassador for Lux. Dilhani was honored with various awards for her acting skills. She received the Sarasaviya Award for Best Upcoming Actress and Most Popular Actress for the film Dedunnen Samanaliyak.In 2005,  she won the award for Best Actress for the film Sudu Kalu Saha Alu. In 2007, she received the Presidential Award for Best Actress in the film, Sulanga. For her role in Gamani in 2012, she won the Best Actress Award at the first Derana Lux Film Award.
