Sinhala Actor Mihira Sirithilaka

Mihira Sirithilaka is a well-known Sri Lankan actor in the theatre, cinema, and television industry. His birthdate is 8 May 1978. His birthplace is village Eraminiyaya in Agunakolapalessa, Hambantota, Sri Lanka. He studied at  Wewa Central College at the Ordinary Level. For advanced-level Biology, he learned at Weeraketiya Rajapaksa College. In 2008, he got married to Geethika Madurangi. Mihira started his journey by doing art with the artist Lester Ruhunuhewa, and both used to paint on the walls of hotels and T-shirts. In 1998, he attended a five-day workshop at the National Youth Services Council to learn drama. After this workshop, he directed the play Sethkama. In 1999, he participated in the Sudharshani Drama Course conducted by Mangala Senanayake at Colombo. After that, he performed in various stage shows such as Magul Kema, Ketima Keti, Nari Burathi, Balloth Ekka Ba, Deyyoth Danne Nehe, and Bala Samagama. In 2000, he got the opportunity to act in D.G. Somapala's teledrama Dedunu Palama as a minor role. Later, he performed in several teledramas, such as Sihala Wansala, Eka Iththaka Mal, Raja Kaduwa, and Monaratenna.

He also hosted programs on television like  Maarai Hirai, a cookery program called Rasa Piri Tharu Recipi on Derena TV, the musical game program Wayannai Gayannai on Sirasa TV, Rasoghaya on Siyatha TV, 4 Kendare on Hiru TV, reality program Sirasa Super Mom and musical program Dialog Ridma Rathriya on TNL TV. In 2003, he began his career in the film from the commercial movie Le Kiri Kandulu. He played a servant in the film Hiri Poda Wassa. Most of his roles are comedian roles or co-star or minor roles. He got a big role in the sports film Sinhawalokanaya.

Mihira received various awards for acting. For the play Bota Hondanam Mata Moko, he got the Best Production Award at the Wedikawen Mahapolowata Awards ceremony and Best Actor Award at the State Drama Festival. he got Best Production, Best Director, and Best Screenplay for the play Ayanu Aayanu. He received the Best Supporting Actor award for the play Thaniyek Vishishtai from the State Drama Festival. In 2013, he received the Raigam Tele’es Jury Award for his role in Andiris Nilame of Monarathenna. Mihira has directed  and written the play Ko Kukko. Later, he co-directed the comedy teleserial Ingi Bingi with the director Chinthaka Pieris. In 2019, he acted in the serial Sakala Guru, the musical television serial Sihina Genena Kumariye(2020), and the comedy program Three Sisters(2021).
