Prajwal Parajuly is a famous Indian writer who works for Nepali culture and people. He was born on 24 October 1984 in Gangtok, Sikkim. His father is an Indian, and his mother is Nepalese. It was the reason, Prajwal is attached to Nepalese culture. Prajwal completed his education at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and later from Kellogg College, Oxford University. He worked as an advertising executive for The Village Voice, an American daily newspaper. His first book has published in 2012, a short story collection titled The Gurkha's Daughter: Stories. The book describes Nepalese people and diaspora. He is the youngest Indian writer to be offered a two-book, multi-country deal signed by Quercus. His first book was nominated for Dylan Thomas Prize in 2013 and longlisted for The Story Prize.

The second book by Prajwal Parajuly is the novel 'Land Where I Flee' in 2013. In 2020, it was translated by Benoite Dauvergne and published by Emmanuelle Collas in French, Fuir et revenir. It has gotten a nomination for the Debut Nobel Prize and Emile Guimet Prize for Asian Literature. Prajwal Parajuly also wrote for the newspapers like The New York Times, The Guardian, BBC, and The New Statesman. He got a literary award by CCIFI (Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Franco Indienne.
