Harman Aggarwal, born on 5th August 1983, is a well-known director in the Indian film industry. He predominantly works in the Punjabi films. He hails from Faridkot, a district in Punjab. He completed his education in his hometown with Primary education in a local government school, graduated from Barjindra Government College, and post-graduation studies in Punjab University. His fascination for films began at his uncle’s house, where his cousin is a projectionist in cinema. Harman started his career as a journalist at Jain News, a news portal in Punjab. Later, he worked with renowned news channels such as NDTV, Punjab Today, and BBC World. He has covered major international events on sports channels.
Harman debuted as a filmmaker of a Punjabi short film, Zindagi- A Life of Kinnar, in 2009. His first short film was a super hit and gave him immense fame. His other notable projects include Canada Oh No in 2009, Kudessan in 2010, Appan Fer Millange in 2010, Panjo in 2013, Suhe Phull in 2014, and Fees in 2015. His first short film received recognition at the International Film Festival in Toronto. Harman is the founder and owner of Aggarwal Productions. He has portrayed several social issues through his production films.
