Ekta Sodhi is an Indian actress who works in the Punjabi Entertainment Industry. She was born in Punjab. She completed her under graduation in MCA from Punjabi University, Patiala, and her post-graduation in BCA from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Initially, she worked as a Research Assistant but soon switched lanes and entered the world of cinema following her passion for acting. She started her career as an actor by performing theatrical works, and was soon offered acting roles in movies. She played lead roles in many theatrical productions, namely, Useless Beauty, Dilli Road Te Ik Hadsa, Jivit Ya Mrit, and Do Kabrein, among others.

After taking a gap from commercial filming for a brief period while continuously doing theatre work to hone her acting skills, she appeared on the big screen with the Feature Film Ranj (also known as Slow Burn, 2018), which got nominated for several Film Festival Awards.
