Laxmipriya Behera

Laxmipriya Behera, also known as Nikita is an Odia language Television actress. She has acted in various Odia language films, Odian albums, and TV shows. She has acted in more than 100 Odian albums. Her popular works include several TV shows such as “Tapasya” and “ACP Nikita”, and she has also appeared in films like “Akhi kholibaku dara laguchi”, ‘Chori chori mana chori” and “Maa Ra Panatakani” etc.

She got married to Lipun Sahu on 25 November 2016 and after her marriage, she moved out of her in-laws’ house to stay in Bhubaneshwar with her husband in 2017. Nikita passed away on 5 January 2019 after succumbing to her injuries after falling from the terrace of her father’s house. She was admitted to a hospital following a head injury after she allegedly fell from the rooftop after a scuffle with her husband. Initially, her death was passed off as an accident where she died due to head injuries but it took a twist when her father booked a complaint against her husband and mother-in-law that Nikita was killed by them due to family problems by pushing her off the terrace after a fight with them.

Chauliaganj Police arrested Lipun Sahu, and he was then sentenced to Choudwar jail by the Cuttack SDJM court. At the time of her death, Nikita was the mother of a six-month-old baby boy.
