Jyotirmayi Nayak is a famous singer from Odisha who performs her songs in the native language of Odia and she mainly sings devotional and Indie film pop songs as her genre. She started her career at the early age of 17. Her father was well trained in music, which led to her Participating in music and singing at an early age, she was well tutored by her master Buddha Prasad Rao who taught her Hindustani classical music, which led to her making kinds of music in different genre such as classics and devotional. After the release of her tracks from the film Ishq Puni became a hit, she became famous for her songs. She is known for her classical hits in devotional music. She has a distinctive style of singing, professional musicians recognized her talent, and she went on making amazing music. She dropped her album named Kuanra Punei Janha, with Sabitree Music record label.

For Jyotirmayi singing as a form of art came very naturally, her father Chakradhara Nayak and her mother Gouri Nayak were individuals who were both associated with art and culture. Jyotirmayi was born in Rourkela (now Bhubaneshwar), Odisha. She participated in many singing competitions as a child in school and also won many of those competitions. She started her career at an early age by signing on a TV singing reality show and was one of the top 4 runners-up, later on, she participated in Indian idol, where she was among the 36th performer in season 9, and her dream was to be a Bollywood singer, she has made a very well professional and successful career in singing, and gained public recognition and was adored for her exceptional singing and her mesmerizing voice.
