Ravi Shankar Patnaik is an Odia film editor. He was born in the year 1948. He passed away in the year 2021 in Bhubaneswar because of Covid 19. He has completed his Diploma in Film Direction, Film/Cinema/Video Studies, and Editing from the Film and Television Institute of India. His skills are video editing, screenplays, and scripting. In 1997, he debuted in the Odia film industry through his movie Abhimaan. Ravi Patnaik is the only editor honored to receive a prestigious award Jaydev-Puraskar (2019) for his lifetime contribution to the Odia film industry. Many of the statues on the AU campus were made by him.
